Baltimore Album: Another 4 Blocks.

Another 4 blocks done today. I want to make 12 blocks of Baltimore Album, but I have 'base' fabric only for 8 blocks. So I must find out how to make it into 12 blocks or 9 blocks. You must be wondering why didn't I change the base fabric! ..Oh, I fell in love with this base fabric.. it's really nice old fabric that I've got from a long time ago and I want to match it with my old scraps.

Maybe.. maybe.. if you have the same base fabric as mine you will kindly send them to me! :) :) :)

When I was googling "Baltimore Album", this one shown up..
A nice song.. Baltimore by Nina Simone.

Enjoy your Saturday night, dear friends!

Beautiful Life : Made with love for beautiful birthday girl.

Yesterday was my daughter's birthday. She is 15, beautiful and talented girl, she loves art. I promised to make a new quilt for her after I made one for her brother. She loves her first quilt that I made for her long time ago and she still used it sometimes :)

Beautiful Life, I told her : "In your life you should look and feel that around you are beautiful.. enjoy your life, be grateful, care and share to others.. it will make you a part of beautiful things in this life".

I think she understand what was her mommy talking about.. hmmm!

Two days before my daughter's birthday, I cleaned up my sewing room.. organized my things.. tadaaa!

A day before her birthday, need 64 pieces of Flying Geese and 4 pieces of Heart Paper Piecing block for borders !!!
In that morning, sewed the last border... hohohooo!

Beautiful Life ( when I look and feel around me).

Beautiful night sky with twinkle stars.
Sun shine in a beautiful day.
Beautiful rainbow  shows after rain.
Trees have beautiful colors.

Wind blows, it gives beautiful feeling.
Beautiful home is a simple place, warmth and smell delicious.
Beautiful heart always care and share to others.
Pets are beautiful companions.
Beautiful basket fills with beautiful things.
Flowers and Butterfly are the most beautiful creatures.

After Beautiful Life project done.. a new project pop up in my mind :)

Beautiful Life : Basket and Flowers

These basket and flower blocks are going to be in 9th row of "Beautiful Life" Project, and they are the last block that I should make.
I continued again my "Beautiful Life" project after we did our charity project "Dolls for the Orphanage". Right now, we are waiting for friends to send their dolls to us until March 31.

We are a basket, a place to gather a lot of things..

I put flowers appliqué on my basket, I cut the appliqué flower from the fabric.

And I made these 6"square flower blocks to put beside 12"square basket block.. what flower are they?

Making simple beauty things can make us happy, and sharing it to others is blessing. Can't wait to see my friend's dolls.. Ohh my mind still on Dolls Project ;)

I Love You !

I woke up this morning. I did my routine activities such as preparing kids to go to school, checked my e-mail and Facebook account and looked at my to do list.. Oh, I have to finish up an appliqué block to complete my 7th row of Hearts for my Beautiful Life project.

My husband still in bed.. so I enjoyed my morning tea alone, and I started to sew. But it was too quiet here, so I turned on my laptop again then tried to find a nice song from Youtube.

Love by Nat King Cole .. it's really match song with my appliqué work ((:
When my husband woke up I already finished my work.. then I posted my appliqué picture on my Instagram and I wrote : No need to wait for next Valentine day to say "I love you".. and he liked it!

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore and

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you
**
Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you

Beautiful Life : Home Sweet Home

This 12" House block is going to be a 6th row in my "Beautiful Life" project.
I made a simple block, like my house :)

Home is the place where your heart will stay.

Home smells good because of cupcake and pie, fresh baked from the oven :)

Home feels warm because of a cup of coffee and tea :)

I will make cupcake, pie and cups with appliqué blocks to complete my 6th row.
I already made "Heart" paper piecing block for my 7th row, I'll posting it a day after tomorrow on Valentine day :)

Beautiful Life : Pets

The majority of people like having a pet in the house, but not me. I don't like any kind of pet. I don't like their smell and don't like to take care of them.. a lot of work to keep them at home.
My kids asked for a pet every single day since they were little. I always told them : "Yes, we can keep ant if you want a pet" (LOL).

But I changed, about 4 years ago I suddenly agreed when my kids and my hubby ask for a cat at the pet shop.. when I looked at the kitten eyes, I fell in love with this little creature. We named him "Master Yoda", and he has some babies from our friend's cat. But we gave them away, we only keep him. One is enough :))

One day, my daughter brought a little turtle. She called him "Kiddo". She keep him in her room. Having a pet to take care of will teach a child responsibility, and a pet is a friend for them.

When I was young, our neighbor left their dog when they move. My mom liked to keep him, his name was "Kincit". My mom took a good care of him. She fed him with our leftover food. She gave him a bath using one brand hair shampoo.. a famous brand and we never use that shampoo until now because it smelled like Kincit (LOL)

Back then again, still when I was young my dad has two chirping birds. He named his birds "Kamandaka"and "Kamandanu". If I'm not wrong those names are from Sundanese's folklore. Every weekend, I went with my dad to chirping bird contest.. He put the birds in the back of his yellow pickup car. I didn't understand about the contest, I just loved to go out with my dad.

Bunny the rabbit.. they are cute but I don't think I want to have them... too much work work work.
So all I can do to have them is to make this cute appliqué block. ;)

People say:
If you are as good as your pet believes you to be, you are probably a really good person.

Beautiful Life : Butterfly and Friends.

After five appliqué flowers for 11th row, I finished up my 10th row this morning..
Butterflies, dragonfly and ladybug will flying around my flowers.. so lovely!

The butterfly counts not month, but moments, and yet has time enough.

The Dragonfly hums its way through life, dipping its wings in the sun to shine.

The Ladybug, a humble little creature of this earth, so satisfied with his turf.
The 9th row should be piecing/patchwork blocks, but I am going to put it a side for awhile. I will make the 8th row, still appliqué blocks. I still want to enjoy my sitting and calm time and listen to my favorite songs.. (No need to rush!)

I love this song, Sting and the movie too ;)

I planned this project last October  but I started to make it 2 days ago.. Still a long way to go! :))

Mother's Day

My brother sent me an old song via YouTube. He said that he try to go back in time, remembering what everything was in the yesteryears. One of them is a song, sung by Pat Boone. He said, it once filled up the air of our home in Bedeng ( a place where we grew up), a beautiful blue wooden house, warmed with loves and cares.

I remember that we had phonograph box at the corner of our living room in our blue wooden house, we had some phonograph records, Mom loved to listen to those songs and so did we.

Time goes by so fast, we grow up with tons of loves. My brother and I are very grateful that our Mom still filling our lives with her love and care until now. We wish for her health and happiness.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM!
