Silent in the Dark - Part 1

I bought some grey and black fabrics when I went to Bandung, it was my fist time that I chose the black colour fabric.. never did before! :)

Silent in the dark ?!? I don't know where those words come from... stars always there in the dark night sky (right?)... I was thinking to make variation star blocks... :))

 Friendship Star

 Martha Washington's Star

8 Pointed Star

I need three more stars to finish this star sampler project. I will make Ohio Star, Amish Star... but I have not decided yet, what star for the last one.

I love you're stars. I made once a black- white quilt ( this were not my colours ) and I found it beautiful afterwards.

We have some fabric market here with local fabrics, Tanah Abang-Jakarta and King's Plaza-Bandung..it's a market not a store :))

Your blocks are stunningly beautiful.
I have never tried to make any black and white blocks myself. It's a bit difficult to find good quality japanese/american black and white fabrics here. And I am not sure if I would like to try to use local fabrics for a project like this. I am looking forward to seeing the finish product. :)

Hi T.C. thank you so much!
I've washed it twice to make sure the color didn't run off.. I think I found a good quality of local fabrics here..by the way, I love your blog! :)
